How to convert a bank statement to Excel
Add one or more PDF statements from your bank or credit card. Password-protected statements are unlocked on your device.
Check the preview: every transaction is one row, and rows that don’t match the running balance are highlighted. Fix a column in the menu above it if needed.
Choose Excel or CSV and download. The workbook has a Transactions sheet and a Summary with totals per month.
Frequently asked questions
What does the balance check do?
It walks the running balance: the previous balance plus each transaction must equal the balance printed on that row. Rows that don’t match are highlighted, so you can look at them before relying on the totals. Credit card bills have no running balance, so the check is off for them.
My statement is password protected. Can I use it?
Yes. Enter the password when asked. The statement is unlocked on your device, and the password is never saved or sent anywhere.
Does it work with scanned statements?
A scan is a picture with no text to read. Run OCR first to make it searchable, then add it here, and check the amounts, because OCR can misread digits.
A column was read wrongly. How do I fix it?
In the preview, choose what each column holds (Date, Description, Debit, Credit, Amount, Balance or Ignore) in the menu above it. The rows and the balance check update straight away.
Are my files uploaded to a server?
No. This tool runs entirely in your browser, so your files stay on your device and are never sent anywhere. It even works with the internet switched off.
