Frequently asked questions
Can I get the XML data out of an e-invoice?
Yes. ZUGFeRD and Factur-X invoices carry their data as an attached XML file, which is saved like any other attachment.
Are files attached to comments included?
Yes. Files attached to a page as a comment are found as well as files attached to the whole document.
Are attachments safe to open?
They are saved exactly as they are inside the PDF. Only open files from senders you trust, as with any email attachment.
What if nothing is found?
The PDF has no attachments. Images and text inside the pages are not attachments; use Extract images or PDF to text for those.
Are my files uploaded to a server?
No. This tool runs entirely in your browser, so your files stay on your device and are never sent anywhere. It even works with the internet switched off.
