Frequently asked questions
Which browsers can open HEIC photos?
Safari on Mac, iPhone and iPad opens HEIC itself. Chrome, Edge and Firefox on Windows, Android and Linux can’t, so use Safari there, or export the photos as JPG first.
Does this work on my iPhone?
Yes. When you pick photos on an iPhone or iPad, the system hands them over as JPG, so they always convert. The result is the same PDF.
Why is the PDF bigger than my HEIC photos?
HEIC is a very compact format, and PDF files store photos as JPG, which takes more space. Choose “Reduce to 1600 px” under “More options” for a smaller file.
Are my photos turned the right way?
Yes. The rotation saved by the camera is applied, so portrait and landscape shots appear the right way up.
Are my files uploaded to a server?
No. This tool runs entirely in your browser, so your files stay on your device and are never sent anywhere. It even works with the internet switched off.
